WASHINGTON — Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr. (R-Tenn.) blasted the Transportation Security Administration Wednesday during a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives for invasive “pat-downs” of U.S. citizens and the role lucrative government contracts played in the use of body scanning machines at airport checkpoints.
Duncan, former Chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee and the current top Republican on the House Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, said: “Unfortunately, for the traveling public, big brother never makes a mistake, so I am not surprised they are trying to defend the purchase of these scanners.”

A nationwide revolt is developing over the body scanners at the airports, and it should.
Hundreds of thousands of frequent fliers who fly each week are upset about getting these frequent doses of radiation.
Parents are upset about being forced to have their children radiated or being touched inappropriately by an unrelated adult.
There is already plenty of security at the airport, but now we are going to spend up to $300 million to install 1,000 scanners.
This is much more about money than it is about security.
The former Secretary of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff, represents Rapiscan, the company which is selling these scanners to his former department.
Far too many federal contracts are sweetheart, insider deals.
Companies hire former high ranking federal officials, and then magically, those companies get hugely profitable federal contracts.
The American people should not have to choose between having full-body radiation or a very embarrassing, intrusive pat-down every time they fly, as if they were criminals.

In an unprecedented outburst on his Fox News show earlier this week, Glenn Beck identified the threat that we have been warning about for over a year, that the powers behind the Obama administration are preparing to stage a false flag event that will be blamed on its political opposition to derail the movement against big government.
Discussing how the leftists need violence to realize their political agenda, Beck featured a clip that we wrote an article about on Sunday, where former Clintonite and Democrat operative Mark Penn says Obama needs an OKC bombing-style event to regain his popularity.
“Remember, President Clinton reconnected through Oklahoma, right?” said Penn on Chris Matthews’ Hardball show on Thursday. “And the president right now seems removed. It wasn’t until that speech [after the bombing] that [Clinton] really clicked with the American public. Obama needs a similar” defining moment, according to Penn.
As we have documented, Penn is not the only prominent insider to invoke exploitation of terror as a means of reinvigorating the big government agenda. Back in July, former senior advisor to President Bill Clinton Robert Shapiro wrote in the Financial Times that only an OKC bombing or 9/11 style event could provide Obama with the opportunity to demonstrate that he is a strong leader.
After reading a letter written by Tides CEO and founder Drummond Pike that encouraged advertisers to boycott Fox News in a thinly veiled threat that implied Beck’s rhetoric is leading to another OKC bombing, Beck stated, “They are setting up an Oklahoma City, they are claiming that one is coming and they’re already marked the one who caused it,” referring to himself.
The fact that Beck is mimicking our talking point on the threat of staged terror is another indication that he employs a team of researchers to listen regularly to the Alex Jones Show, as a prominent Fox insider told us directly earlier this year. The accuracy of the source was verified after Lou Dobbs was confirmed as joining Fox News, something we had predicted after also being told this would happen by the same source.
After years of Beck ridiculing so-called conspiracy theorists for talking about the government staging 9/11 or the Gulf of Tonkin, he is now finally beginning to realize the fact that major catalyzing events are often staged for political purposes.
Beck follows in the footsteps of fellow talk show host Michael Savage, who after similarly deriding anyone who talked about government staged terror as a conspiracy nut, is now using similar rhetoric. During his show on March 3 2009, Savage warned that the government was preparing to “create a crisis along the lines of the Reichstag fire,” and that once Obama’s contrived image began to collapse as it is now doing, “Rahm Emanuel and his gang will set off a Reichstag fire in this country of some kind,” in order to enforce a “military dictatorship”.
As most historians agree, the Reichstag fire of 1933 that allowed Adolf Hitler to persecute his political enemies was wholly if not in part the work of Hermann Göring, Joseph Goebbels, and a cadre of Nazi storm troopers who aided Communist patsy Marinus van der Lubbe in torching the government building in Berlin.

There has been some confusion about this case, leading some commentators to believe that the reference to John Irish’s “association” with Oath Keepers was in some other document, rather than in the affidavit relied on by the Court’s Order. Alex Jones’ site, in an effort to protect the privacy of the family, posted excerpts from two different documents, leading some to question where the reference actually was.
To clear that up, below you will find an embedded PDF which contains the full (though redacted) versions of the following documents: the two Petitions (one pertaining to each parent), the Court’s Ex Parte Order, the Affidavit of Dana Bickford which was attached, the Motion for Change of Venue, and lastly, the Notice to Accused Parent, explaining the legal process. We have highlighted in yellow all text where the Petitions or the Court Order refers to the Affidavit which contains reference to Oath Keepers.
By looking at the below documents, you will be able to see from the two Petitions, the Order, and Affidavit item #7, in that order, that:
1. Both Petitions state: “7. Details or Details or facts of abuse/neglect (attach separate sheet if necessary): See affidavit filed with the Concord Family Court.”
2. The Court’s Ex Parte Order states:
“Findings of Fact:
There is reasonable cause to believe that the child is in such circumstances or surroundings as would present an imminent danger to the child’s health or life, which require the immediate placement of the child for the following reasons:
Thus, the Court’s Order does, in fact, refer to, and adopt all of the reasons given in the Affidavit as being the reasons for the order.
3. The Attached Affidavit, referenced by the Petitions and adopted by the Court as its findings of fact, includes, at #7: “The Division became aware and confirmed that Mr. Irish associated with a militia known as the, “Oath Keepers,” and had purchased several different types of weapons, including a rifle, handgun and taser.”
This is how all such petitions are done. The same goes for a restraining order. The petition is supported by affidavit laying out the reasons, and then if the judge finds those reasons sufficient, he or she issues the order. Such orders always rely on the affidavit attached to the petition. And in this case, the Order explicitly states that the reasons in support are listed in the “attached affidavit.”
We have posted these documents with the permission of both parents, but we redacted (blacked out) all the personal information and allegations that do not pertain to Oath Keepers or gun ownership. This was done in part to respect the privacy of the family, including the kids. It is out of such concerns that family court proceedings are usually closed to the public and I think it would be improper to post the entirety of the affidavit for the same reason. If the parents choose to post a non-redacted version, they can do it themselves (we left in their address because they have given that information out in several interviews, asking for donations to their defense fund),
More to the point, we also blacked out the parts unrelated to Oath Keepers and to gun ownership because my focus in this case is on the illegitimate listing of a father’s political affiliations and his gun ownership as a reason to take his daughter away from him and also away from her mother. That the Court relied on an affidavit that explicitly lists the father’s association with Oath Keepers to issue that order makes it important to all ten thousand dues paying members of Oath Keepers (many of them current serving police and military), and also makes it important to the estimated thirty thousand people (and growing) who have “associated” with Oath Keepers in the past, or still do, on several social media sites, such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, on our email alert list, in the comments section of our main site, in our free state forums, or in person at our many meetings across the country, and the many additional tens of thousands who have “associated” with us at various rallies, summits, and forums across the nation.

Newly obtained video that was reluctantly released by NIST after a lawsuit by the International Center for 9/11 Studies shows two firefighters on 9/11 discussing how secondary explosions occurred immediately before the collapse of the twin towers, providing damning new evidence that explosive devices were used to bring down the buildings.
Debunkers have repeatedly claimed that low-temperature burning jet fuel could weaken steel support columns enough to cause the pancake-style collapse of the twin towers, ignoring the plethora of eyewitness testimony to incendiary devices having caused the implosion of the World Trade Center structure.
The new tape is as clear cut as it comes — the firefighters, who were inside the lobby of one of the towers, unequivocally state that secondary explosions which occurred after the planes hit were responsible for causing the towers to collapse.
“There was an explosion….the third explosion the whole lobby collapsed on us,” states the firefighter. Asked “was that a secondary explosion,” he responds, “yes it was ….definitely secondary explosion”.
Another firefighter then confirms that there were at least three explosions which caused the lobby to collapse.
The only way to explain what firefighters described as “molten steel, like you’re in a foundary, like lava” being witnessed following the collapse of the towers was if powerful additional incendiary devices were used to take down the buildings.
The firefighters’ testimony compliments that of William Rodriguez, eyewitness to sub-level explosions that occurred before the impact of the first plane in the north tower and representative for many 9/11 victim’s families.
Rodriguez’ testimony is also confirmed by Anthony Saltalamacchia, a morning supervisor who managed over a hundred workers in the twin towers. Saltalamacchia was in sub-basement B1 of the North Tower, approximately 1,100 feet below the airplane’s impact point at floors 93 to 98.
“The explosion….at first we believe it came from the mechanical room and then we heard a series of other explosions that sounded up on the above levels of the building,” said Saltalamacchia.
Saltalamacchia then discusses how a man ran into the office with his skin hanging off. William Rodriguez had previously described the same scenario following basement level explosions and it was also seconded by another eyewitness, Kenneth Johannemann, an employee of ABM janitorial services.
“As we’re standing there, more explosions were happening,” said Saltalamacchia, before he urged Rodriguez and the other workers to leave the building. The group left and initially headed towards the lobby before they realized it too had been partially destroyed, conforming with the eyewitness testimony of the firefighters.
Despite Saltalamacchia’s plea to stay out of harm’s way, Rodriguez ran back into the burning building in an attempt to save his colleagues.
“The amount of explosions I heard from 8:46 to the time we got out was so many — at least ten — it was just like multiple explosions to where I felt there was different grenades, that’s what it sounded like, like different grenades being set off in the building,” said Saltalamacchia.
“It was one major explosion and then there was different explosions throughout that period of time until we got out,” he added.
Numerous other WTC basement workers, including Felipe David and Salvatore Giambanco, have also gone public with eyewitness testimony concerning massive sub-level explosions that took place before Flight 11 hit the north tower.
WTC construction worker Phillip Morelli was headed for level B-4 in Tower One [north tower], four stories below ground, when he was thrown to the floor by a violent explosion that coincided with the plane hitting 100 floors above.
15-year WTC worker Marlene Cruz told Peter Jennings in an interview with ABC News that she was also rocked by an explosion in the basement level of the north tower.
The establishment media is giving full court press to announcements from US and European authorities that airport lobbies are being targeted for terror attacks in a recycled version of the laughable 2007 incident in which two mental deficients set fire to a jeep outside Glasgow airport, a non-event that authorities hyped beyond all recognition amidst a similar wave of hysteria to that which we’re witnessing now.
The October surprise has arrived, and it’s a contrived and cynical ploy to frighten Americans into putting their trust back in the government by waving the familiar boogeyman of the outside threat.
“Among the possible targets in the suspected European terror plot are pre-security areas in at least five major European airports, a law enforcement official told ABC News. Authorities believe terror teams are preparing to mount a commando like attack featuring small units and small firearms modeled after the Mumbai attack two years ago.”
Constant references to the Mumbai attack, transport hubs, airport lobbies and other “soft target” chatter provide a reasonably clear indication as to who is really behind the ceaseless intensity of terror fearmongering we’ve been subjected to over the last week.
Since it ultimately emerged that the mastermind behind the Mumbai massacre was CIA agent David Headley, warnings from the same intelligence agencies about similar attacks being planned should be treated as a direct threat. Throughout the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, the Central Intelligence Agency played a key role in Operation Gladio, a program of false flag terror attacks on soft targets that were designed to demonize political opposition and “force the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security,” according to the testimony of Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra.
In 2000, an Italian Senate investigation found that the 1980 Bologna train bombing, which killed 85 people, was carried out by “men inside Italian state institutions and … men linked to the structures of United States intelligence.”
In attempting to “force the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security,” the establishment hopes to derail the momentum of Tea Party candidates like Rand Paul and Sharron Angle, whose entire campaigns are built on the premise of turning away from the state and giving power back to the individual. Manipulating voters by threatening terror worked for the Republicans in 2004, but the Democrats might have to go a step further if they hope to use it as a deciding factor in 2010.
The threat of airport lobbies being targeted is another giveaway. The last time this occurred was in summer 2007, when two amateur mental deficients, described as “Krazy Klown jihadis” by bomb experts, set fire to some petrol outside Glasgow airport in a pathetic attempt to stage a terror attack.
Although people like former Scotland Yard detective John O’Connor described the botched attacks as “hopeless,” “incompetent” “almost laughable,” and amounting to nothing more than a bonfire, while others labeled the incident “slapstick idiocy,” the corporate media reacted in exactly the same way they’re behaving now, by ludicrously overhyping the incident as some kind of deadly Al-Qaeda wave of terror.
Never forget that the media and the government have been totally discredited over and over again by their complicity in issuing phony terror alerts designed to manipulate elections and frighten the public into slavish acquiescence. Just as former Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge admitted that DHS would issue fake terror alerts shortly before elections in a bid to influence the outcome during the Bush era, the Obama administration is mimicking the same tactic.
The reality is that accident causing deer, peanut allergies and swimming pools are all more likely to seal your fate than a terrorist attack.
As Ohio State University’s John Mueller concludes in a report entitled A False Sense Of Insecurity, “For all the attention it evokes, terrorism actually causes rather little damage and the likelihood that any individual will become a victim in most places is microscopic.”
But the sensationalist media, the power hungry government and the salivating “experts” who head up profitable anti-terror companies all need to feed the beast and they’ll exploit every morsel on offer.

Global warming loons are at it again — despite the science behind man-made climate change being completely discredited by the Climategate fiasco and with increasing numbers of Americans skeptical about AGW, mad scientists at the Carnegie Institution are using taxpayer money to lay the groundwork for injecting the atmosphere with dangerous compounds which are known to cause debilitating health problems and could lead to massive droughts and famines.
Alarmists are once again trying to play God in a bid to solve an imaginary climate crisis based around their own fraudulent belief system, fully aware of the fact that the consequences of their actions will likely kill off millions in the third world, people who they see as nothing more than “useless eaters”.
Based around the madcap method of “injecting aerosols of sulfate into the stratosphere” to produce “a global sunshade,” researchers at the Carnegie Institution’s Department of Global Ecology have been running advanced trials on how to distribute artificially added sulfates to the atmosphere in the name of cooling the planet.
“The Carnegie scientists ran five simulations using a global climate model with different sulfate aerosol concentrations depending on latitude. They then used the results from these simulations in an optimization model to determine what distribution of sulfates would come closest to achieving specified climate goals. They then tested these distributions in the global climate model to assess how well the climate goals were met,” states a press release about the study.
One of the main authors of the study was Ken Caldeira, the man who told a conference of fellow warmists earlier this year that it would be a good idea to make the emission of CO2 an illegal act. Presumably, that would include the very process of breathing since all humans exhale carbon dioxide. That’s right — the man tasked with playing God with the environment thinks breathing should be criminalized.
But it gets worse — Caldeira is an advisor for and is being funded by Bill Gates — the man who thinks that old people should be killed to save teaching jobs, and the man who says that vaccines which his foundation bankrolls to the tune of billions should be used to lower population and bring CO2 emissions down to a level approaching zero.
This gaggle of Dr. Strangelove characters, people like White House science czar and geo-engineering enthusiast John Holdren, the man who advocated forced sterilization, mandatory abortion, and drugging the water supply, are now tinkering with the planet in pursuit of their barbaric eugenicist agenda.
Would you let Ted Bundy take your teenage daughter out on a date? Would you allow Ian Brady and Myra Hindley to baby sit your children? Rutgers University professor Alan Robock has warned that such experiments “could create disasters,” damaging the ozone layer and potentially altering the stratosphere by eliminating weather patterns such as the annual Asian monsoon rain season, which 2 billion people rely upon to water their crops and feed the population.
